LLI was a wonderful experience. Being new to the lottery industry, LLI provided me with valuable "intro" level learning as well as insight into relevant current trends affecting the industry. Any experience level would benefit from LLI and return home a better leader. Most importantly, I came away with lasting relationships and had fun.

Outstanding. I want to say how great I thought NASPL Leadership Institute was. It was fast-paced and the information was very informative. As the executive assistant, I rarely get the opportunity to attend conferences of this magnitude. However, with my desire to learn more about this growing industry I'm glad I was able to attend. This will be an experience I will never forget. Thanks NASPL staff for being so passionate about providing this industry with good information.

I have in the past attended leadership seminars were the entire focus had been on 'soft skills', focusing primarily on management, leadership and people skills. NASPL did a brilliant job of incorporating leadership development training with providing participants with solid substantial industry knowledge, historical data and future trends. That information, plus a venue to network with other lottery personnel, made the week very worthwhile. I would highly recommend the seminar for all lottery personnel regardless of position or years of experience.

Wow! What a great week. I can't say enough about the people I met at the Leadership Institute. The group included lottery employees from marketing and sales all the way to human resources. There was also good attendance from the vendor side as well. The week's agenda included diverse topics and information that can readily be applied back here at the office. The NASPL staff did a wonderful job of organizing everything. I left the institute feeling like I had made many new friends that I will be able to network with for years to come.

When I chose to attend the Leadership Institute I didn't know what to expect. I had heard it was tiring, hard work, and beware because you always get someone on your team that would fight the group tooth and nail. I can only say my experience was completely the opposite, and I cannot tell you one person attending this session that I could not work with. When we were given our teams, you don't know what to expect, but what I found was a great group to work with, and the experience and knowledge of their lotteries or company was unbelievable. I feel our team was very productive. Our presentation showed the teamwork that was put forth, a group that thought outside the box, and we were all proud of the presentation we delivered to the groups. The speakers, can we say WOW! Greg Forbes was fantastic, and I can't wait to read his book. Then we had Buddy Roogow, and what he faces in the future with their lottery is not only unbelievable but exciting for the lotteries in North America. The panels were good, and it's nice to be able to ask questions for the different vendors. Then you have Dr. Kay Potetz, what a bundle of energy, and I really liked everything she presented to us. The visit to the Ohio Lottery was fun, and of course we always like to hear what our retailers have to say about our business. Next was the activities offsite Wednesday night, and I can only say one word "FUN". I have not laughed, nor had a good time with a group this large in a long time, and we all showed that teamwork can be fun and rewarding experience. When we finished the laser tag there wasn't a person that didn't give each other a "high 5". To the NASPL group, you are all amazing, and during my time with you I felt like part of your family. I will say, when I got back home I am now on a strict diet and burning the treadmill up, because I think I gained 20 pounds because of the great food. Overall I can summarize my experience as one I will never forget, and I not only learned a lot, but made wonderful friendships along the way.

The LLI conference was truly an awesome experience for me. One of the things I enjoyed most during the conference was the opportunity to interact with other industry executives, exchanging ideas, and best practices for the daily challenges that we face. Both Greg and Kay were dynamic speakers and presenters. I love the ripple effect that Greg shared through his life experiences. Self improvement and leadership skills are very important assets to help individuals advance to the next level in their career. The conference was very informative and gave us a lot to think about as we build lotteries for the future.
