John R. Rodgers

John R. Rodgers, Jr., is a 1984 graduate of Pennsylvania State University. He then earned a master's degree in History with an emphasis in Research Methods from Shippensburg University. He is the franchise owner for JR Rodgers & Associates, Inc., the Dale Carnegie Training® Franchisee in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, which represents counties in Pennsylvania, New York, Ohio, and West Virginia. As owner, he manages all instruction and marketing for Dale Carnegie Training® in his franchise. 
 

John has been a Dale Carnegie® instructor since 1989 and has gained international recognition by Dale Carnegie & Associates, Inc., as one of the top marketing associates and instructors in the world. In the past two years John has become one of Dale Carnegie's Executive Coaches. In this role John works with Senior Vice Presidents and C-level executives to improve their overall effectiveness and efficiencies in working through people to achieve maximum business results. John also is recognized as a global thought-leader on servant leadership and is finalizing his first book on that in-demand topic.
 

Terry Rich

Terry Rich is the President and CEO of the Iowa Lottery and author of the book Dare to Dream, Dare to Act. Prior to that, he was CEO of the Blank Park Zoo; President and CEO of Rich Heritage Inc., a national marketing and television production company which produced shows for HBO, ESPN and Comcast, among others; and Vice President of Marketing for Heritage Communications Inc.

As an entrepreneur, Terry developed Rich Heritage Inc., along with four other companies including radio station KBBM, US Digital Video, Newsletter Ease, and the World Championship Socker League, LLC.

He has appeared on national television in many roles, including ABC, NBC, CBS, 20/20, CNN, Bob and Tom Radio Show; as movie host on Starz!; and as a panel guest on the "Tonight Show."

Terry is a past President of the North American Lottery Association which is responsible for raising over 70 billion dollars for state’s good causes and also serves on the board of Powerball. Under his leadership, the Iowa Lottery recently cracked one of the world’s largest lottery frauds.

 

Catherine A. Huggins

In May 2017, Catherine was appointed Chief Advisor to Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds.  In this role, she is responsible for human rights, women in leadership, and entrepreneurialism. 

 

Catherine also leads special projects for the Governor.  Her areas of expertise include strategic planning, community engagement and executive communications.  She brings 30+ years of experience and a strong drive for excellence.

 

From 2013-15, Catherine served as Kim Reynolds’ first Chief Advisor as Lieutenant Governor.  Most recently, she was Executive Vice President for Huggins Consulting Group.  She also lectured at Iowa State University.  Her successful career has spanned the realms of government, nonprofit, agency, and business.

 

Catherine, 54, received her Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Iowa.  In addition, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Drake University’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication.

 

During her free time, Catherine enjoys traveling with her husband, Jeff, and hanging out with their Norwegian Elkhound.

 

David B. Gale
David B. Gale has been the Executive Director of the North American Association of State and Provincial Lotteries (NASPL) since March, 1995. He has been an active member of the lottery industry for over 28 years and has participated in both the public and private sectors. Gale is a graduate of Kent State University, with a BS degree in English. His lottery industry experience began with serving as Director of Marketing for the Ohio Lottery where he was instrumental in the development of the first lottery TV game show, Cash Explosion.

 

In the private sector, Gale served as Vice President of Marketing and General Manager of the British American Banknote (BABN) Pennsylvania printing facility, where he oversaw the complete instant ticket printing process for the company’s North American lottery clients. While at BABN, Gale participated in the 1987 start-up of the Kansas Lottery. After leaving BABN Gale became Vice President and General Manager of MDI.

 

Since assuming the role as NASPL Executive Director, Gale has successfully added a long list of accomplishments including advocating for the industry while offering congressional testimony, publishing, conference and trade show coordination, industry leading research, standards and best practices, and day-to-day membership activities.
